The Joys Of A City Filled With Music, Fun
0 Comments | Intelligencer Journal Lancaster New Era; Combined Saturday edition, Aug 24, 2010
TO THE EDITORS:
Joyous smiles and peals of laughter come from children awaiting the next burst of water from Binns Park fountain. Little tykes peer down holes where water disappeared only to be amazed at its reappearance. Older children alike are spellbound, unable to solve the mystery of the pattern of water spurts. Dog owners bring their pets to share in the fun. The pets love the water and lap it enthusiastically.
Joy is contagious. Spectators, many of whom are employees taking a lunch break from stressful jobs, enjoy the thrill of the children and dogs. They return to work with spirits lifted.
Another Lancaster joy, Keys to the City, is a clever and wonderful idea sparking a love of music in young and old. The Keys to the City are 20 pianos at various locations in the downtown area for anyone to enjoy, plinking away or playing a tune. A young child is seen playing his first piano. Another person, seemingly downtrodden but eyes bright with pleasure, is seen gently caressing the keys to an instrument he has never had the opportunity to play. He cannot afford piano lessons much less a piano.
Five o’clock and normally employees flood out of offices to rush home, but on this Friday Lancaster comes alive with music! With feet tapping, hands clapping and energetic dancing, spectators become participants to the happy music performed for free! People leave their worries behind and just have fun.
The children spin and twirl reminding adults of the pleasure of pure abandon and unawareness of the critique of others while being mesmerized by the music. Adults join in the fun by shaking rattles to the African beat of Zydeco.
Some adults are even encouraged to leave their seat and to join in the dance

An ionic system does not need to replace the air filter but instead by regularly washing the air filter similar to your air-conditioner. In my opinion, an ionic air cleaner is a better choice since you can save a bit of money in buying replacement air filters.
Air cleaners are well worth your investment if you consider your health or your family health is more important than anything. An air cleaner can cut down the chances of a allergy attack or an asthma attack. If you are living in an urban city, chances are the air is a lot more polluted than you think. I got a shock when I saw how dirty the air filter was after a period of time.

The bulk of the issue stems from the many misconceptions of the two respective arts but more so the lack of understanding of Judo. It is funny that most people understand that BJJ was created when a Judoka taught a Brazilian the martial art of Judo but both sides fail to agree on how similar these martial arts are. If you take into account that Judo is one of the biggest sports in the world and is also recognized as an Olympic sport, you would wonder why it receives so much disdain. The average Judo club will charge around 25 dollars per month to join while the going rate for a BJJ school is 100 dollars or more.

With the click of a button, I can search using any one of many search engines. This is another feature that is very attractive to Internet marketers.
Extensions. Firefox add-ons are a lot easier to come by that IE add ons, probably because Firefox is completely open source. Sure, there are plenty of IE toolbars, but there are tons of Firefox tools, that can do all kinds of cool stuff.
Skins. I don’t really care too much about this feature, but you can customize your Firefox browser with a cool design – for free.
Security. Last but not least, Microsoft Internet Explorer has been exploited many, many times by various security threats. Mozilla’s Firefox is less susceptible to security breaches, so many people use Firefox to stay secure on the net.
These are just the major benefits that Firefox offers. Interestingly enough, Microsoft is trying to add many of these features to their IE 7. If the sincerest form of flattery is imitation, Microsoft itself admits that Firefox is great!

Believe it or not, some cars are still offered with a bench seat. And some even have ashtrays. But many vehicles no longer offer these features, even as options. So let’s take a peak at features that you won’t be finding on future cars and trucks, ones that are about to join vinyl LPs, shag carpet and typewritersin the dustbin of history.
Bench seats
The popularity of minivans and SUVs, many with seven passenger seating, have killed the front bench seat, which allows sedans to carry six passengers. According to a spokesperson from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, one consideration could be safety. Protecting passengers in the front center position, and engineering the appropriate seat belts, is difficult and costly

He immediately said, “Play golf all over the world.” When I asked him why he wasn’t pursuing this dream he said, “Too many expectations.” I asked, “Whose expectations of what?” He said, ” My own.” But it became clear that what he thought of as his own expectations were really fears of what others would think of him. When he realized that what he thought of as his internal standards were really fears of being judged by others, he began to release them. He was then able to begin planning a life that included golf trips instead of yearning for a ‘forbidden fruit’ unattainable because of required expectations.
Expectations that block us in this way always come from outside us, even those we think of as our own. This is why expectations create stress, struggle, fear and disappointment.
Set an intention (a daily intention, preferably when you first awaken) to notice something you feel grateful for, say, to appreciate your own health and your good qualities or to remember specific things you do that benefit yourself and others.
